Here are a couple of brand identity design recommendations for a Silicon Valley tech company that helps other companies create better software.
It's kind of cool when your adult son shoots a brand and package I designed shortly after he was born, (way back when), and then you realize he just became a father this week.
Defining a Brand to Stand for Exceptional Customer Service in a Politically Charged Category
In light of strong and differing perspectives, the discussion regarding climate change can be politically charged. Yet, the challenge presented to us was to define and design a brand with its mission to help both sides of the political aisle find ways to decrease their dependence on fossil fuels and replace them with clean energy alternatives. But while many would like to, the path to do so is complex and obscure. Who can you really trust?
That’s exactly what MyDomino does. They act as trusted and knowledgeable clean energy concierges to help people understand the best paths to clean energy savings by connecting them with established and credible vendors. With a non-political agenda, their goal is to reduce costs and environmental impact by helping their customers power their lives on 100% clean energy.
But how do you appeal to a broad audience of climate change views? A penguin was our answer to the challenge. These little waddling creatures universally represent a high level of customer service with their built in tuxedos, while providing a subtle suggestion of the impact of climate change from the popular and beloved “March of Penguins”. The MyDomino penguin brand stands for a high level of customer service by helping us save money by powering our lives on clean energy. Sounds like a brand with good energy to me.
